I take strength and conditioning very seriously in my pursuit towards staying fit and in shape for every game and practice. I know that if I want to be the best basketball player I can be, I need to be strong, fast, and agile.
I work out with coach, Elvin, who is a former track athlete at Northeastern University and the Director of the Salvation Army Kroc Center in Dorchester, Massachusetts. Elvin has a wealth of knowledge and experience in strength and conditioning, and he has helped me to develop a personalized workout routine that is designed to meet my specific needs.
The workouts are challenging, but they are also rewarding. I know that I am getting stronger and faster every day, and I am confident that my hard work is pay off on the court.
In addition to my strength and conditioning workouts with coach Elvin, I also work with Coach Clay on my shooting and dribbling skills. Coach Clay is a former college basketball player and a certified basketball coach. He has a wealth of knowledge and experience, and he helps me to develop my skills and improve my game.
Our shooting workouts focus on developing my accuracy, range, and consistency. We work on a variety of shots, including layups, midrange jumpers, and three-pointers. Coach Clay also helps me to develop my shooting mechanics and to improve my shot release.
Our dribbling workouts focus on developing my ball control, speed, and agility. We work on a variety of drills, including crossovers, behind-the-back dribbles, and between-the-legs dribbles. Coach Clay also helps me to develop my moves and to improve my ability to create space on the court.
I am grateful for the opportunity to work with Coach Clay. He is a great coach and a great mentor. He has helped me to improve my shooting and dribbling skills, and he has given me the confidence to be a better basketball player.
